Medicaid Redetermination

Medicaid Re-enrollment is Here

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR ME? The State of Georgia started the renewal (recertification) process for all Medicaid members on April 1, 2023, as beneficiaries come up for renewal, and could result in termination or reduction of benefits.

WHEN IS THIS HAPPENING? Re-enrollment is here in Georgia. Renewals (recertifications) will be completed from April 2023 – May 2024.

What To Do Right Now

  1. Visit gateway.ga.gov/access/ and make sure your mailing address and other contact information are up to date.
  2. Update your current account or create an account on gateway.ga.gov or call 877-423-4746.
  3. Then, look for a letter or email and follow the instructions. If you receive a renewal form, fill it out and return it right away.

NEED HELP? You can visit staycovered.ga.gov to find more information about Medicaid re-enrollment.

WHAT IF I NO LONGER QUALIFY FOR MEDICAID? If you are no longer eligible for Medicaid, connect to coverage at work or through the official Affordable Care Act (ACA) Health Insurance Marketplace at healthcare.gov.
